Bela was the first ES to come back into my life after I became an adult, and was neutered. It was because of Bela that I became involved in obedience and agility classes with the dogs. Until his hip dysplasia got the better of him, playing catch was the highlight of his day, along with being close to his family. Bela did fairly well in agility classes since he was a very focused ES. He was more than willing to give whatever he did his all. Having a slightly bossy nature made him think that he was in charge of the ES pack, but everyone knew he wasn't!
I have always called Bela my quirky boy and to give him credit, he overcame a lot of issues/obstacles during his 14 1/2 years. When we picked him up at 6 weeks in age, he weighed just under 4 pounds. So the pictures of him below with our very large Golden are true to life. He really was little! He was extremely easy to train to do tricks, obedience and agility. Bela was devoted to the family, but I was "his person" until his dying day.
