Spock
First Officer on the USS Enterprise
Spock was the fourth puppy to arrive and weighed in at 13 ounces. He is black & white. Spock sports a smaller amount of white on his feet, has a partial collar across the back of his neck, a fairly full white chest, a medium width blaze and a little bit of white around his muzzle. The white on the back toes will most likely disappear, with the blaze becoming pencil thin when he is grown.

Here is one last look at the puppies before they headed off to their new homes.

Spock is quite the charmer. When we had visitors this past week, he took it upon himself to welcome them with open paws & an upturned belly. Spock was one of our better "workers" at the Puppy Instinct Testing at Claire Apple's place. I was right proud of his instinct to help move those ducks! Spock will be joining a military family here in NC to become their companion, running buddy & friend to all.

Spock continues to be my main alert pup, although most of the others will alert bark as well now. He is a smart little boy with the ability to figure things out very quickly. I believe he will bond very closely to his people. He sure is the pup that checks in with me while playing & comes quickly when called. He & Seven were the first ones to figure out that sitting gets you picked up out of the pen first!

Spock has become my "always there" puppy. When I sit down with them, he is always by my side. When I come to the pen, he is always there waiting to see me. He is also very aware of his surroundings - alerts to things out of the ordinary or unexpected. I appreciate this attribute. 😉
