Saponi
The Haliwa-Saponi tribe is located in the North Eastern Piedmont area of NC. More information may be found here.
Saponi is sable and white & should end up being about the color of Holly or Roper - deep mahogany red sable. He was puppy number 7 and weighed in at 11 ounces. He has one long front stocking, one shorter front stocking, white toes on his back feet, good sized muzzle and blaze, about a 3/4 collar, full white chest and a small tip on his tail.

Saponi tends to charm everyone with his good looks. 😉 That said, he, like all the other pups, does enjoy being held, snuggled, gives kisses and so on. A couple of weeks ago he was the pup right by my feet, preferring to watch so he could make an informed decision about his next action. Now I tend to find him in the midst of it all. He has lightened up color-wise some, but I fully expect him to darken back up to his birth color as an adult.
